Indios de San Francisco (LNB) added 25-year-old American 198cm guard BJ Fitzgerald (college: Virginia State) to their roster. He joins another USA player, Jeremiah Gambrell Jr., who is already on the team. Fitzgerald started the season at Sameji in the Santiago League.

Thanks to Fitzgerald's pro career, he has played on three different continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America) in four different countries. He has played professionally in Georgia (Kavkasia), Romania (CSM Steaua Bucuresti), and The Basketball Tournament (Team Gibson).
Fitzgerald's team reached the Georgian A League Semifinals in 2025. He was awarded the Eurobasket.com All-Romanian Liga I Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-Romanian Liga I Import Player of the Year in 2024.
He graduated from Virginia State in 2023 and is in his third season in pro basketball. Fitzgerald also played for Norfolk State University for one year.
